MR07.1 reader (MIFARE, protection from copying)

By using protection from copying mode not UID card code is read, but the code from protected card memory area. MR07.1 can read data from internal memory of cards with the following types: MIFARE ID, MIFARE Ultralight (С, EV1), MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus (X, S, SE), MIFARE DESFire Ev1.

Card identifier (UID) is copied as easily as ID of standard proximity cards (HID, EM-Marine). In order to protect MIFARE proximity card from copying it’s necessary to save identifier in one of internal memory units of the card and close the access to this unit with a crypto key. To read the data from internal memory MR07.1 is programmed with a master card.

Reader operating temperatures allow its application outdoors. Reading range for UID is from 3,5 to 6cm, for protected data from internal card memory – from 2 to 6cm. Maximum reading range depends on the card type, MIFARE Ultralight C (144 byte) and MIFARE DESFire Ev1 are known for their short reading range, it should be considered while choosing card types for users within ACS.
