RTD-16.1S Full height rotor turnstiles with motor drive are designed for complete overlap of passage zone and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
RTD-16.1S Turnstile is intended for access control at facilities with increased security requirements and the need for complete overlap of passage zone in height. It is possible to operate the turnstile in the lock-chamber mode.
All-weather design
Due to its powder-coated galvanized steel design of all turnstile parts, RTD-16.1S ensures an elegant design and corrosion resistance during outdoor operation. Modifications with the index "S" indicate that the turnstile is equipped with a stainless-steel rotor.
The canopy protects the turnstile against precipitation and climbing over the turnstile. The canopy and the turnstile form a single construction.
Delivery set
- turnstile with built-in electronics
- RC-panel
- protective canopy (optional)
- foundation frame (optional)
Additional equipment installation
It is possible to place ACS controllers inside the turnstile. Readers can be installed on the guide barrier sections.
Passage zone formation
The turnstile has a passage width of 630 mm.
It is recommended to install turnstiles based on the 20 people/minute peak load for each passage zone.
RTD-16.1S turnstiles can be installed in the same row without gaps with the upper transit cabling, and at the same time, and the standard RTC-16 canopies can be used at the same time.
The turnstile can also be completed with a full height gate with electromechanical lock and railing systems, produced in the same design.
Easy installation
To simplify and improve the quality of installation, a foundation frame is provided. The additional foundation frame allows installing the turnstile even on unstable ground.
Safety
The turnstile is a normally-closed device. In case of power loss, the rotor locks in its initial position.
In case of power loss or an emergency, two built-in mechanical release locks (one for each passage direction) allow quickly clearing the passage zone with the key.
The control board provides emergency unblocking upon receiving the Fire Alarm signal (Fire Alarm input).
It is possible to connect the intrusion detector and siren to the turnstile.
Turnstile operation
RTD-16.1S turnstile can be operated from an access control system (ACS) or as a standalone unit from RC-panel or WRC (purchased separately).
The ability to select the control mode (pulse or potential) ensures correct operation in access control systems of any manufacturer.
The operation mode (passage permission and denial) can be set independently for each passage direction.
The optical sensors built into the turnstile housing record the actual fact of passage and its direction, which ensures correct accounting of working hours in access control systems.
The control unit is located inside the top channel and provides a complete set of control modes. Inside the top channel, the DIN rail has inputs to connect sound indication (siren) and an intrusion detector and outputs to connect remote indication blocks.
The motor drive ensures the smooth rotation of rotor sections.
The blocking of the reverse rotation is performed when turning the rotor at more than 60° angle.
The turnstile design provides two options for connecting power and control cables from external devices: from below (through a special cable duct) or from above (through the top channel), which is an advantage when mounting turnstiles in one row.
Indication
The turnstile is equipped with built-in ultra-bright LED passage permission and denial indicators for both sides of each passage zone.
Walkway downlights are provided for each passage zone. Two LED indicators are built into the top channel.
